Car Accident Kills Woman and Injures Five Children

A woman was killed and five children were injured in a serious automobile accident. Police say the accident involved a Renault Clio vehicle carrying only the driver and a minivan carrying the driver and five children.The driver of Clio died and the driver of the van and all five children were seriously injured.

The driver of the Clio vehicle died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the minivan and three of the children inside only suffered minor injuries, the other two children suffered more serious injuries. None of the people that were injured had life-threatening injuries, according to the report. There is no information on the factors that contributed to the accident.

The Arizona State DPS reports that in fiscal year 2008, the Highway Patrol Division of the Arizona Police Department responded to well over 30,000 traffic collisions on major highways, 313 of which resulted in a fatality. Many traffic accidents along major highways occur as a result of drivers not following the speed limits. In the state of Arizona, the speed limit on major highways is 65-75 mph.

Statistics from the Arizona DPS show that approximately 8,669 traffic accidents along major highways result in some type of injury to one or more parties involved in the accident. In a high-speed accident on an Arizona roadway, there are many types of injuries that can occur to those involved. There are many possible causes of car accidents, including auto defects, DUI, and dangerous roadway conditions.
