Mother Saved in Accident, 6-Year-Old Calls for Help

A New York woman and her 6-year-old son were involved in a serious automobile accident that left the woman trapped in the vehicle for a significant amount of time. The accident occurred when the woman swerved to avoid an oncoming truck and veered off an embankment down a steep, snowy hill. The car the two were riding in rolled over multiple times before landing upside down at the bottom of the hill.

The 6-year-old boy told his mother he was fine and climbed out of the car through the trunk. He then walked up the 30-foot embankment and yelled for someone to come and help them. Neither the boy nor his mother suffered serious injuries in the accident and both received medical attention at a nearby medical center.

If not for this little boy’s bravery, the woman in this incident could have been trapped in the vehicle and she potentially could have lost her life due to exposure. When inclement weather is involved there is always a possibility that the weather could negatively affect victims involved in an automobile accident if they are left trapped in their vehicle for long periods of time. Fortunately, the boy did not suffer serious injuries and was able to climb out of the car and save his mother. Many people would continue to drive off despite seeing the accident and those are the cases that often leave victims suffering and potentially causing serious injury or death because the victims do not receive immediate medical care.

The fact that the woman had to swerve to avoid hitting another vehicle played a part in this accident as well. If the other vehicle was driving in an unsafe manner, the driver of that vehicle could be held responsible for the accident that put the lives of these two people in serious danger. If another party is found to be at fault for this type of accident and the victim is forced to veer off the road and ends up getting injured as a result of falling down an embankment, the person who was at fault should be held responsible for the accident and they should be brought to justice. The victims deserve to have compensation on their behalf for their pain and suffering.
