Dog Owner in Critical Condition Following Attack

An Illinois dog owner was left in critical condition after being attacked and bitten by their two American Bulldogs. Illinois police said they responded to the call in the morning hours and found the dog owner had been bitten by the dogs. The extent of the owner’s injuries was not released but police were conducting an investigation into the incident. The two dogs were taken into custody by animal control pending results of the investigation. The owner of the dogs was taken to a medical facility for treatment of their injuries following the attack.

This incident demonstrates that not only can dog attacks happen against owners of dogs but they can also be very vicious attacks as well. Although there is no information on the specific injuries that the dog owner suffered in this attack, the fact that the owner was left in critical condition demonstrates how serious the attack was and how serious the dog owner’s injuries were. In the event that the dog did not belong to the person that was attacked, the victim or the victim’s family could have taken legal action against the owner of the dog and gotten compensation for the injuries that the victim sustained as well as the medical expenses that may coincide with the victim’s recovery.

Unfortunately, since the dog that attacked the victim was their own dog and not somebody else’s, the victim will be unable to receive compensation for the injuries and damage that occurred in this attack. However, anybody that has been attacked by an unknown dog outside of their personal property should not hesitate to contact an attorney who can assist them in getting compensation for the injuries and damage that occurs as a result of the attack. This incident demonstrates that dog attacks can be extremely vicious, even if the dog is not usually a vicious animal. In many cases, the environment they are raised in affects their overall behavior and they will be quick to attack anybody. In those cases, dog owners should be held responsible for their dog’s actions and the victims that are affected should get the justice they deserve to have for their pain and suffering.
