Beer Delivery Man Attacked by Pit Bull
In Brooklyn, NY, a beer delivery man entered a bar called the Lucky Dog to delivery kegs of beer to the location. When Edward O’Farril entered the premises, he was attacked by the bar owner’s pet pit bull. In an interview with the New York Post, O’Farril stated the dog was chained in building but was still able to attack him.
O’Farril has filed a lawsuit against the bar, and the owner of the building, Alfredo Gongora. Gongora is also named as the owner of the dog in the lawsuit, however, Gongora and the owner of the bar both claim that they stated that they were never aware of anybody being attacked by a dog inside the bar.
Since Gongora claims that he does not own a dog, it could make it difficult for O’Farril to prove that Gongora should be held responsible for the dog’s actions. If any evidence is presented demonstrating that this dog has always acted in a vicious manner toward patrons at the bar or elsewhere, it would be possible for O’Farril to gain compensation from this matter. Regardless, since O’Farril was the victim in this incident, he should receive some form of compensation for the injuries he may have suffered in this incident and for damages as well.
